Organization Introduction

SALASUSU (former Kamonohashi project) is Japanese NGO with its mission to encourage the life journey of young women in Cambodia. Our project site, called community factory is located in Kchass village, 35km away from the center of Siem Reap. Our employees are all women who were previously living in poverty and facing family challenges. We hope to support these women on their journeys to a brighter future by empowering them to earn a stable income making authentic handcrafted products.

Khmer Intern of Social Empowement Department

Job Description

Assist Social Empowerment department team
Assisting for Sales training service
Assisting managers for trainers’ training
Guiding our community factory for foreign customers
Taking a minute for meeting
Translation for training documents (EN and KH)
English training supports
Field work, Questionnaire survey for assessment
Soft skills training assistant for our producers

For social work (how to communicate with villagers, counseling, questionnaire surveys)
To work with foreigners (understand the culture difference, using English)
To work with team (help each other towards achieve one shared goal )
Join a staff training such as a facilitation-oriented training methods
One-on-one mentoring session with supervisor once a month

The Person We Need

Required competencies
Personality : Strong commitment for learning, trying to do any unfamiliar tasks , Diligent , Willing to do a new things, respect others, self-motivated. Will to contribute to better society
Skills
Khmer language (read, write, listen, and speaking)
Fluent English (preferable; IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL PBT 550/ TOEFL iBT 58)
(even candidates do not have score, you can apply )
At least working more than 3 months (longer is better)
Full time preferable, Part-time considerable (more than 3 days/week or 15 hours/week)
More than 18 years old

Work Details

Conditions and compensations
Working hour:
Mon.-Fri.
7:30am-5:00pm (7:15am departure for factory, arounf 5:30pm back to SR office)
Working Place:
Community Factory in Kchass Village at Soutnikum District. (35km from SR city)
Sometimes at our office (Backside of the Wat Damnak)
Transportation:
Come to the office in SIem Reap and we provide daily transportation (van) to Community Factory
Any other transportation fees related to wrok, Organization will pay
Monthly subsidy:
Average $50/month to $100/month ( Depends on length and performance of her/his work. Decide by discussion )
Have a chance to increase salary
Chance to be a full-time staff (need the interview again)
